CDC: 1 in 4 US adults live with a disability

It involves a person being paid monthly benefits if they are no longer able to work due to a significant illness or impairment. It’s important to note that to be eligible for Social Security Disability Allowance; the person must not be able to engage in any substantial gainful activity (GA) due to being either physically or mentally impaired. This condition should also be expected to last for at least 12 months or death.
